Growing up on the warm sunny island of Mauritius, it was hard to adjust to the winter here in Canada — and still is even after 14 years. Despite this cold weather, I am glad to call it my second home where my husband and I have a family of three with our beloved daughter. I enjoy reading, travelling and baking. I like to think that “Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home” (Matsuo Bashō) so I prefer to live life one day at a time and make the most of every minute. —Elizabeth
